We LOVE LOVE LOVE the new POWER Porcelain Grates from Viking, but the stainless steel grates are available too. We asked a Viking Part Pro who has both a Viking Grill and a smoker which grates HE has. The answer? Stainless Steel. He likes the stainless because they would rarely need to be replaced. He addressed that sticky issue of stickiness and says he brushes on olive oil or canola oil before grilling. He likes that he can clean without worrying about scouring any porcelain. All valid points to consider. My favorite is still the POWER Porcelain - much thicker coating AND great even heat with the cast iron underneath, not to mention the sear marks.
